Abstract

Breeders provide grass to their livestock every day in a large enough amount to be processed as food for their livestock. Therefore, if there is a sufficient amount of available grass, it will automatically require more time and energy as well. The purpose of the design of a machine entitled a grass chopper is to calculate and assemble the components for a grass chopper. In this machine, a single transmission system was chosen because it consists of a pair of pulleys that have a diameter of 50.8 mm on the motor pulley and 76.2 mm on the moving pulley. The production capacity of this grass chopper is designed to be able to cut grass as much as 50 kg/hour, the skill of the chopper blade is capable of cutting grass within 10 to 12 hours per day.Keywords: Grass chopping machine, Quality improvement, Productivity level.
