Abstract

  1. XXX is one of the largest vertically integrated manufacturing companies that produce paper and paper products in Indonesia. In this study, the root causes of the low pressure drop productivity in the press cylinder wire machine section will be identified, FMEA will be used to determine the level of problems that hinder the productivity of the press cylinder wire machine. The research method carried out, using the experimental method. The first step in designing RCM is to find out which machines often fail, which can be obtained by interviewing the company. These machines are press part machines, size press machines, dryer machines, which are machines that are listed as machines that often have problems. The machine and its components will be planned for maintenance using reliability centered maintenance (RCM). Identify every fault and the root cause of every fault out of every part of the machine. After careful analysis of all parts of the piston assembly, it was determined that most of the failures encountered were due to accidental causes and overvoltages, except for all piston seals and rings. Based on material selection, a redesign of the finger seat push plate was proposed due to the excessive expansion of the push finger bolt caused by looseness and misalignment.
